We are the controller of the personal data collected through this website.

What we collect

Service enquiries: name, email address, phone number (optional), destination, dates, number of guests, budget and your message.

Membership signups: name, email address, country and interests.

Product reservations: name, email address, country and the reserved products and quantities.

We also store your language preference in a cookie so the site is shown in your language.

We collect anonymous usage statistics (pages visited, search terms, language and country) without cookies and without storing IP addresses or other personal data.

Purpose

We use this data only to respond to your enquiry or signup and, if you consent, to inform you when a reserved product becomes available. We never sell your data or use it for any other purpose.

Legal basis

Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — for example, emails about the availability of a reserved product.

Steps prior to entering into a contract at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — when handling a service enquiry or membership signup.

Retention

We keep your data for at most 24 months after your last contact with us, or less if you ask us to delete it. After that it is deleted.

Processors

We use service providers who process data on our behalf: our hosting provider (website and database) and our email delivery provider (confirmation and notification emails). Agreements are in place to protect your data, and they may not use it for their own purposes.

Recipients also include affiliate networks (e.g. Awin) when you follow a partner link, as described in the section on partner links and third-party cookies.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability.

You can withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect processing before withdrawal.

You can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

Partner links and third-party cookies

Cestian contains links to partner websites (affiliate links). When you click such a link, you leave Cestian and the partner website, or the affiliate network that manages the link (such as Awin, Daisycon, TradeTracker or Partnerize), may place its own cookies to register that you came via Cestian. Cestian itself does not place these cookies and does not receive your personal details from these parties; we only receive anonymous information about completed purchases.
